Despite a rainy spring, inventories of fauna and flora have confirmed the biological interest of the first phase quarries.<\/h2>\n

Among others, the naturalists found numerous populations of Natterjack toad, a little-known population of great-crested newt (the rarest Newt species of the 4 Newts species recorded in Belgium), many couples of Little Ringed Plovers, some timid Orthetrums (damselflies and dragonflies) between rainfall, attested presence of smooth snake and already several orchid species i.e, pyramidal Orchis, bee Orchid, Orchis Fuchs …!<\/p>\n

\"Calamite\"\u00a0 The Natterjack Toad, a pioneer target species of the project\u00a0 is easily recognizable\u00a0by the yellow line that crosses its back lengthwise.<\/span><\/h6>\n
\u00a0\"\"<\/a>This small species of Orchid is called the Bee Orchid because its several small flowers have a lip resembling a bee. shaped this way to attract pollinating insects. A\u00a0reproduction strategy that appeared during evolution.<\/span><\/h6>\n
